Not difficult to reach from JFK. Take AirTrain (Track 1) from JFK to Howard Beach Stn. From Howard Beach - take A train towards Manhattan. Get off at Jay St- MetroTech Stn. Walk a few mins (use Google map) to hotel. Hotel facing a park and across it is Traders Joe and there's a food court inside. Lots of shopping (h+m,  primark, Adidas, old navy nearby). Easy to cross over to Manhattan by subway. They gave us early checkin as the room was available. We put our luggage and explored the Dumbo and Brooklyn Brewery. Next 2 days, we chose to walk over to Manhattan, a day via Brooklyn Bridge and the next via Manhattan Bridge.  We took the club room with free access to club lounge. Not the kind of lounge we are used to in Asia, only has a Starbucks machine for coffee, some snacks packets and we get breakfast (toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, milk, butter and jam) but more than enough to eat. Room and facilities are a bit outdated but clean and fuss free. Front desk staff are courteous and friendly. Good place to stay if you don't need alot of attention and fuss. Surrounding is safe and near subway station.

Really enjoyed our 10 night stay in this hotel. Our expectations were somewhat subdued after reading various reviews online but overall this place was great. The bed was extremely comfortable. The heating worked very well when we went in December and the shower was nice, warm and powerful. The wifi was also terrific. My partner and I work online so we would often have to take meetings in the room, and it never failed us. Housekeeping came daily and replenished our coffee and water supplies. Each day we received some Starbucks branded coffee every day which was delicious to wake up to. The room was very quiet and we slept very peacefully throughout our stay

The lady that checked me in was lovely (Wed 27th Nov, late afternoon), the cleaners on level 8 were amazing! Very friendly and made my stay so comfortable, room was huge and had everything I needed. The male staff at the front desk were also very helpful, I received excellent hospitality! Location was great, there’s a shopping centre right across the road with food options that open till very late as well as subway entrances/exits right around the corners which made me as a solo traveller feel very safe when coming back to the room late at night after a long day of exploring the city.

not sure why it has so many bad google reviews! location is great, staff are helpful if you ask nicely if you need something. The room was spacious enough and I had really nice views from the 22nd floor. Big flatscreen TV was great! I was too busy to enjoy New York to check out the gym or rooftop though so I can only tell you that the room was good, lobby was nice (loved the tortoise statues and the pink couch that was very comfortable) and the hallways are nice too.

Great location, close to numerous subway stations so getting around the city was easy. Hotel was clean as was the room. Housekeeping attended daily to clean the room and fresh towels were provided daily. There was a fridge in the room, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The bed was comfortable and there was ample storage. Shower and bathroom were great. Free WiFi.
